Our Story
Orian Rights (a commercial brand of Walewska Films, previously Orian Group) has been a trusted force in the Polish and European media landscape for over 30 years.
In its early years, the company was based in the famous Wroclaw Feature Film Studios (Wrocław) under its production arm, Walewska Production. During this period, we produced and co-produced several TV movies and series for major French broadcasters, including Bébé coup de foudre (TF1), Voyage en Pologne, Marion du Faouët (4 x 60' for France Télévisions), as well as the acclaimed 4-part drama series The Last Lord of the Balkans (ARTE / F Productions / ERT) and the documentary series Endangered Civilisations (30 x 52’, TV5 Monde/F Productions, TVP).
Building on our production roots, we launched our Warsaw distribution department 25 years ago. Over the years, we have represented major French and international rights holders—such as France Télévisions, Gaumont, Canal+, Endemol, Mediawan, and Lakeshore—introducing premier TV content and feature films to Eastern Europe, including a successful Polish theatrical release of Cyril Collard's Les Nuits Fauves (80,000 admissions).
Today, our core focus has evolved toward exclusive representations of leading international catalogs, as RTVE, RTBF, 3Cat, YLE, Encore TV Canada. Operating from Warsaw, we license approximately 600 hours of premium content annually across Poland and the Baltic States. As we continue to grow, our vision is to extend our distribution footprint into additional Central European territories.
We thrive on building long-term, trusted relationships. We are actively seeking ambitious international partners looking for an expert, dedicated distributor to represent their catalogs exclusively across our key markets.
Have a catalog or project in mind? We welcome all proposals and look forward to building a successful, lasting partnership together.
