My Village is Better Than Yours

Six celebrities, six villages, one title to claim. In this Belgian format from RTBF and Okiswitch, well-known personalities each champion a corner of the Belgian countryside they know and love, stepping up as guide, advocate, and competitor all at once.

The structure is clear and satisfying. Each celebrity leads the group through four set challenges: a local product, a must-see attraction, a unique activity, and a conversation with an iconic local figure. Points come from fellow contestants and from the public vote, giving the format both an insider perspective and genuine audience participation.

What keeps it engaging is the human element. These are not travel presenters reading from a script. They are people with real connections to the places they are defending, and that investment shows. The rivalry is light, the discoveries are genuine, and the villages themselves emerge as the true protagonists.

The format travels well. Its structure is replicable across any country with regional diversity and recognisable talent. Whether adapted for national broadcasters or produced as a local version in a new market, the core appeal is consistent: a celebration of rural life, local identity, and the quiet pride that comes from knowing your village is worth the journey.
