Vinz Kanté was a familiar voice on Belgian radio, a star presenter at Fun Radio and NRJ with a large following and a comfortable public life. Then he walked away from it all.
The shift came gradually, then with sudden force. Reading an IPCC report, Vinz finally found a name for the anxiety that had been quietly consuming him: eco-anxiety. He discovered he was far from alone. Research suggests it affects the vast majority of younger people, and the knowledge changed everything.
Two years on, Vinz sets out with his children on a personal and educational journey across communities, projects, and people who are reckoning with the same fears. The film follows him as he traces the steps of his own transformation, trying to understand how paralysing dread can be turned into genuine agency.
Directed by Jean-Simon Gérard and Michaël Antoine and produced by RTBF, this Belgian documentary uses one man's very public reinvention as a way into a much wider conversation. Eco-anxiety is treated here not as a weakness to overcome, but as a signal worth listening to. The result is a film that takes climate distress seriously as both a psychological reality and, perhaps, a source of unexpected momentum.
