Catalonia has always had more to offer than its most famous architect. Animal Architects sets out to prove it.
Presented by Núria Moliner, herself an architect and publicist, the series profiles a generation of Catalan architects whose work is reshaping how we think about space, home, and the environment. Each episode enters a different creative world, visiting the studios, buildings, and landscapes that define their practice. The approach is intimate and direct, shaped by a host who brings genuine expertise and curiosity to every encounter.
The figures themselves are varied and often surprising. Among them: the inventor of the kitchenless home, a pioneer who transformed the fabric of Barcelona, and practitioners working at the intersection of ecology, culture, and sustainable design. Their projects range from experimental constructions to mountain refuges built at altitude, from urban interventions to quietly radical houses.
Running across two seasons, the series holds feminism, ecology, and the future of housing as persistent concerns, never wearing them as slogans but letting them emerge through the work and the people behind it.
Animal Architects makes the case that architecture is not a specialist subject. It is the scenography of everyday life, and these are some of its most interesting authors.
