Oxen

Niels Oxen is Denmark's most decorated soldier, a man shaped by combat and broken by it in equal measure. Discharged in disgrace after investigating the suspicious death of a fellow soldier in Mali, he withdraws from the world entirely, disappearing into the silence of Rold Forest. Then a body is discovered nearby, and Oxen becomes the prime suspect.

What follows draws him far deeper than a single murder. Frigg Mossmann, chief of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, recruits Oxen for an operation conducted without the knowledge of her own organisation, placing him at the centre of a conspiracy reaching into the highest levels of Danish power. The target is Danehof, a secretive elite working to bring down the government and dismantle democracy from within.

Across two seasons, the series builds a world of institutional corruption, buried loyalties, and personal cost. Oxen, Frigg, and PET agent Margrethe are repeatedly forced underground as the threat grows. Kajsa Corfitzen, Danehof's volatile newest recruit, pursues her own agenda, always one step ahead.

Created by three-time Emmy winners Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe and based on the internationally bestselling novels by Jens Henrik Jensen, Oxen is a precise, psychologically grounded thriller with considerable European pedigree.
