Two powerful rural clans in Quebec's country music heartland. One long-negotiated deal. And then, something goes wrong.
Wild Horses centres on the Richer and Martineau families, bound together by commerce and torn apart by what lies beneath it. Philippe Richer runs a respected enterprise and carries the goodwill of his community with ease. Michel Martineau, an agricultural producer regarded with suspicion by those around him, is on the verge of acquiring everything Philippe has built. The agreement is within reach when an unforeseen event shatters it entirely, and with it any possibility of peace between the two men.
What follows is a feud without restraint. Both patriarchs are drawn into a struggle that grows beyond anything either intended, pulling their three heirs with them. The younger generation, with their own loyalties and fractures, find themselves caught in a conflict they did not start and cannot escape.
Set against the world of country music, a milieu rich with pride, performance, and carefully kept secrets, the series builds its drama through character rather than event. The score settles slowly, and the consequences run far deeper than anyone standing at that original negotiating table could have foreseen.
