Luna has travelled far across the universe searching for signs of life, finding planets that seem promising but fall short in one way or another. Then a blue planet catches their attention, and the journey toward Earth begins.

After crash-landing, Luna meets two children, Ava and Neo, who help repair the damaged spaceship. What develops from that first encounter is an ongoing exchange: the children introduce Luna to Earth, and Luna takes them out into space, visiting moons, planets, and phenomena across the solar system.

Each episode is built around a specific destination or concept, from the familiar terrain of Mars and Jupiter to neutron stars, exoplanets, and the mechanics of space travel itself. The educational content is fact-checked and carefully integrated into the adventure, making science accessible without reducing it to a lesson.

Season 3 steps back in time to explore what Luna's life looked like before the crash landing, adding depth to a character children have come to know across two previous seasons.

Produced by Yle and directed by Teemu Palosaari, the series ran from 2022 to 2025 and was recognised as a Finalist at the Japan Prize 2023. It is aimed at children aged five to eight.
