Delta

When an ecologist named Bianca vanishes from Spain's Ebro Delta, the only traces she leaves behind are her backpack and laptop, found in the river. The police have little to work with. Two women take it upon themselves to find answers: Júlia, a journalist long accustomed to writing within boundaries set by others, and Meri, one of the few women to have carved out a place for herself on the water in a community that remains stubbornly male.

As the two pursue the investigation together, the Delta reveals itself as a place of layered secrets. Bianca had been preparing an environmental report on the region's future, and too many people have too much to lose from its findings. The deeper Júlia and Meri go, the more resistance they face.

Shot in Catalan, the series uses the landscape as more than backdrop. The Ebro Delta, a vital Mediterranean wetland slowly losing ground to climate change and human intervention, carries its own weight in the story. Its light, its water, its fragility are present in every frame.

Delta is a character-driven mystery grounded in urgent ecological reality, following two women through a world where the land itself is at stake.
