Northern Spain, the 1920s. The Márquez family have returned from Latin America with a fortune built on iron mines and tobacco, settling into the rigid social world of a provincial city still finding its shape. Into this world, Victoria Márquez grows up: orphaned young, wealthy by inheritance, and quietly determined to live on her own terms.
Her love for Ángel González is genuine and mutual, but the distance between their lives is not easily ignored. He comes from nothing, shaped by his father's commitment to workers' rights and his mother's deep faith. When circumstances pull them apart, Ángel is ordained a priest. Victoria, left to navigate loss and responsibility alone, takes charge of the family business — an act of necessity that becomes one of self-definition.
Years pass. When the two meet again, she is a formidable businesswoman and he is bound by his vows. Between them stands Gonzalo, the Marquis of Castro, a self-made man of shadowy ambition who moves steadily into Victoria's professional and personal orbit.
Lady is a period drama of class, desire, and the slow transformation of a woman who refuses to be defined by her circumstances. Starring Adriana Ugarte in an award-winning performance.
