The English Neighborhood

Huelva, 1941. While Spain maintains its official neutrality, the port city has become a shadow theatre for Allied and Axis intelligence operations, its streets threaded with operatives on both sides of the war.

Lucía is twenty-five, sharp, and restless, drawn instinctively to a life beyond the one mapped out for her. When she takes a secretarial post at a British mining company in the city's English Quarter, she expects routine. What she finds instead is Peter, the company's reserved and quietly compelling manager, carrying the weight of a past he has no intention of sharing. His arrival sets in motion a series of events that will force Lucía to choose between safety and conviction, between the life she has and the one she might risk everything to live.

Around her, loyalties shift. Her boyfriend Francisco, son of a powerful Francoist family, moves uneasily between competing allegiances. The dignified Miss Parker, head of personnel, conceals a history of service that shapes her every move.

Produced by RTVE, Emociona Media, and Onza, The English Neighborhood is a richly staged period drama in which espionage, personal betrayal, and wartime moral pressure converge around one young woman's awakening to what she truly stands for.
